Young Trynas- Probably Music 7”.  Debut 7" from this new band out of DC released on the great White Denim label. Taylor from Priests plays guitar and vocals on this one and you might recognize their voice (since they sing on a couple of Priests tracks), but Young Trynas are a whole different beast. Murky, driving, and slightly grungy, Young Trynas are a lot more of a full-bore aggro rock band than Priest's more spacious, aggressive punk with the same level of songwriting chops. Genre-wise, though, this one is all over the place, aparent by the label's write-up, which mentions Madball, Hole, and Fang all in the same breath. I'm not sure fans of those bands (except maybe Hole?) would straight up be into this, but if you're into the more confrontational batch of recent UK bands like Frau and Good Throb I would highly recommend this. Good stuff.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
