Watts- Black Heart Of Rock N Roll LP. Hailing from the same hometown as The Cars, Nervous Eaters,The Odds and countless other; Watts is yet another example of why there may be no better place to be a rock band than Boston, MA. Their latest and fourth album, "Black Heart Of Rock ‘N Roll" is loud, fast and exhilarating. The dueling guitars of John Blout and Dan Kopko will bring a smile to the face of even the most discerning guitar aficionados and on this LP there’s no shortage of hit-worthy hooks. 'She’s So Electric' grabs the listener immediately and it’s got all the elements of a good Stones track and could definately hold it’s own on “Tatoo You”. 'Strut (Like A Champ)' hits you like a rock-solid AC/DC tune — flat out rock n’ roll without the nonsense. Other highlights include ‘Fast and Loose’, ‘Sunset’ and ‘The B-Side’, but the best song on the album is ‘Stage Fright’; a track that totally reminds me of vintage Aerosmith with “Toys InThe Attic” grit. Watts bring the quality Rock ‘N Roll with blazing dual guitars, Stones swagger and a knack for writing good mid-tempo rockers that aren’t derivative. A+ guys.
