Spider Bags- Papa Was A Shithead 7".  I’m sure you’ve heard the amazing Spider Bags by now. Part Replacements, part Townes Van Zandt, part Oblivions, Spider Bags exceed our lofty expecations in this solid six minutes of 7-inch pleasure. A-side “Papa Was a Shithead” packs in a lot of melody in just over two minutes. The ferocious punk assault is softened by attention to detail, even if the repeatable chants of “Papa was a shithead” are as juvenile as they are clever. If you keep the turntable on repeat (and it’s tempting), you’ll miss the tender country jangle rock of “I Wish That I Never Fed You.” True to description, the band turn their punk sneer into a roadhouse tear-jerker. The slide guitar is pulverizing but not overpowering. It’s the music of hard necks, blue collar men with an adolescent pattern of looking for trouble but responsible enough to have family and children. Digging deep into their soul the Spider Bags give us another winner. These are on the limited Purple Wax!

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
