Something Fierce- Don’t Be So Cruel LP.  2nd album from Houston, TX upstarts Something Fierce. ‘Don't Be So Cruel’ finds 'em rapidly expanding on the Marked Men-meets-The-Buzzcocks sound of their phenomenal debut album. While undeniably influenced by various strands of late 70s punk, this record is slightly more subtle and sophisticated than their first offering with thoughtful, well written  songs that strike a perfect balance between fun, original and unique. Kinda reminds me of when the original UK bands were just starting to branch out from the punk template, but before the head-on dive into post-punk artiness. More '79 than '77, if you know what I mean. A great follow up to their classic debut album from ex members of the Born Liars, the Busy Kids and Gun Crazy.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
