Shirks- Talk to Action: Singles and Unreleased 2008-2013 LP. The Shirks played '90s-style, good-time snotty rock'n'roll. They always reminded me a lot of the Problematic, but also the Radio Reelers, Slurs, Devil Dogs and a little like Sonoma bands like the Bodies and Modern Action. This album reissues all their classic EPs as well as some unreleased gems, recorded for an LP that never saw the light of day. That's because like all greats of this genre, they imploded before it could happen. DC's not exactly known for this kind of supercharged sleaze-punk action, but here's twenty blazing tracks that prove otherwise. I'd pick favorites but every song burns. They do a great KIDS cover too. These are on the limited transparent teal colored wax and include an insert with old band flyers and band photos.
