Real Sickies- Get Well Soon LP. Man this reminds me of something right off the band. It’s the way the vocals are delivered ... is this the Boomtown Rats??? Or maybe 999? Jesus is this catchy. The guitars, drums bass and even the vocals just have your head bouncing in no time. It’s got elements of punk, new wave, garage, power pop, and just good ‘ol fashioned rock ‘n roll. I love music that can be catchy as hell but not at all wimpy and the Real Sickies do it well here. One track after the other just delivers in the same way that that first Briefs LP did years back. It’s obvious to say, but it’s clear that these guys did not grow up without owning Ramones and Dickies records. This record is just plain and infectiously fun. Recommended.
