Bare Wires- Let Down 7". Remember that Bare Wires SSLD 7"?  I sort of forgot about the band as Snakeflower 2 seemed to become Matt Melton's main musical vehicle, but the second Bare Wires 7" has now arrived, and it's now making me forget about that Snakeflower LP. Possessed of the same sort of beautifully sleazy Seventies Stones-y, semi-poppy flavor that the Snakeflower 7" on Tic Tac Totally had, both tunes are immediately accessible, sounding somewhat familiar and comfortable but still maintaining an original/modern vibe. Looks like the chick from Time Flys is in the band now too, so maybe that helps. I enjoy this guy's aesthetic, or least I like what he's doing in referencing late-Sixties/early-Seventies rock without pulling out the weird acid-psych vibe or proto-punk heaviness.  Definately worth trackin down.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
