Martha- Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart LP. Hailing from Pity Me (seriously that’s a town) in the UK, Martha play energetic, impassioned power pop with intricate vocal interplays and lush four-part harmonies. Martha are informed by 90s indie rock and contemporary pop music and their sound has a somewhat throwback feel to bands like like Superchunk, Small 23 and Archers Of Loaf. They fire off these 11 rowdy, rambunctious songs off with a ton of energy and really smart lyrics and one song is dedicated to Paul Westerburg; so it’s no suprise that the Replacements have a pretty big influence on their sound.
