Los Pepes- The Happiness Program LP.  For about 8 years now, I’ve been closely following the musical progression of the "loudest power pop band on earth". After perfecting the Good Vibrations Records inspired Powerpop Punk on its first couple of albums, this London outfit has proceeded to inch closer and closer to the blistering sonic fury it's known for on stage. If you're not ready to have your ears blown clean off of your head, you should be very careful laying the needle down on this sucker! On The Happiness Program' there's still plenty of pop in the equation, but here they lean heavier towards the tougher side of '77 punk (Testors, Dead Boys) with the thundering sonic energy of early Who and the Kinks. ‘The Happiness Program’ includes 12 buzzing, power-poppin’, punk rock blast that I dig even more than their last album.  Recommended. Import from Germany.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
