Los Pepes- Positive Negative LP. For five years now, I’ve been closely following the musical progression of the "loudest power pop band on earth". After perfecting the Good Vibrations Records inspired powerpop punk on its first couple of albums, this London outfit has proceeded to inch closer and closer to the blistering sonic fury it's known for on stage. If you're not ready to have your ears blown clean off of your head, you should be very careful laying the needle down on this sucker! On 'Positive Negative' there's still plenty of pop in the equation, but here they lean heavier towards the tougher side of '77 punk (Testors, Dead Boys) with the thundering sonic energy of early Who and the Kinks. ‘Positive Negative’ includes 11 buzzing, power-poppin’ rock ‘n rollers including a great cover of legendary NYC punks The Knots. The LP also includes a nice two sided full color printed insert as well. Recommended. Also this was supposed to come out on Gods Candy Records and the band ran into a bunch of problems with the label, so they created a stamp that says "FUCK" that was stamped over the God's Candy Records logo. Not sure how many of them were made like this, but your copy will be one of these limited variants.
