Hickoids- Corn Demon CD. Reissue of the band's classic "We're In It For The Corn" and "Hard Corn" releases on one deluxe compact disc. From Austin, the Hickoids were one of the premier cowpunk bands of their era. Now, the bulk of their discography has been reissued and it stands pretty tall in its boots. These guys were simultaneously goofier and harder-toned than SoCal contemporaries like Blood on the Saddle or Tex & the Horseheads. There’s a vicious, jagged edge to the guitars that really propels these songs and they sound so damn drunk you can practically smell it. This material still holds up after all these years.
