Happy Times- Hey Biscay 7" . Exceedingly pleasant second EP by this new Brisbane quartet, who seem very interested in German underwater warfare of the 20th Century. Their Aussie sound is more akin to Birdman/New Race-era groups than to their contemporary blokes which is fine by me. ‘Hey Biscay’ fires with three songs of scuzzy, ragged Rock ‘n Roll. Two guitars run rampant all over each track like propeller-less Zeppelins exposed to a naked flame. This is a sonic, lo-fi adventure and the drums pound like depth charges. One song is called “Croatian Drunk” and it’s a corker! Import from Australia on Swashbuckling Hobo Records.
