Flash House- Brown Sauce LP. Take a look at the live shot for London’s Flash House and you’ll see a decidely shady looking group of characters sporting facial hair, double denim and baseball caps who look like they haven’t washed in about a week. Perhaps not a suprise that they feature a former member of pure rawk, beer swillin, hellraisers the Skintight Jaguars. On Flash House’s debut album, ‘Brown Sauce’, it’s safe to say that they sound exactly like you’d think they would playing a burly combination of guitar slaying punk ‘n roll. Every song on this disc follows a pretty effective formula of scowled / growled vocals, frenetically fast drumming and some suprisingly adept guitar slaying creating a pretty intocxicating brew which you can see working well in the live arena. Image a twenty car musical pile-up involving Turbonegro, Motorhead, Poison Idea, Chuck Norris Experiment and the Hip Priests from a band who wouldn’t even remotely consider turning down the volume if their life depended on it. That’s Flash House in a nutshell and this album rips! Import from Canada.
