Faz Waltz- Life On The Moon LP. Wow killer LP here from Italy’s Faz Waltz. The music of Faz Waltz is firmly rooted in early ’70s glitter, particularly T. Rex and David Bowie, though there also seems to be a huge John Lennon influence as well, especially in frontman Faz La Rocca‘s whispery voice, which simultaneously recalls Lennon and Marc Bolan. The sound is actually less of a straight modern version of Slade/ Mudd/ Glitter Band but a mix of influences, with a pretty decent helping of early Rolling Stones thrown into the mix. You can also defiantely hear whispers of the UK Junk Shop bands from the '70's' like Hector, Plod and the Rats that Giuda made a household name, but there’s also some swanky Rock N Roll riffs among these 12 stellar tracks. While there are rockers, like the opening “Love Limousine,” “Get On Down,” “Nice Bomb” and “I Long For Your Love,” the majority of the songs evoke the sensitive side of glam with sorrowful pop ditties, providing the perfect soundtrack for the amphetamine comedown at dawn after a rough night at Rodney’s English Discotheque. Import from Italy.
