Family Curse / White Murder- Split 7”. Family Curse released one of my favorite 7"s in recent memory, banging out some great post-punk that sounded like Brix-era Fall. Their song on this split is a little more upbeat and punk... it actually reminds me quite alot of Skull Kontrol / Monorchid (perhaps due to the Fall influence?), and aside from the frantic tempo fits perfectly with the two songs on their earlier single. Los Angeles' White Murder play bratty teenage punk rock that brings to mind the tough riot girl bands from the 90’s. Think the musicality of Huggy Bear and Bikini Kill with less of the feminist attitude and better production. Top notch writing on their side and a nice compliment to Family Curse. Definately keep an eye on both of these bands, this thing rips.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
