F-X - Now Where Were We? CD. F-X are an extremely mysterious band that people don’t realy know much about, so this 10 track CD reissue is a real punk rock delight. Everybody knows this band from their extremely rare and absolute killer 3-track 7" called “The South’s Gonna Rise Again”. If you’re lucky enough to own the original or one of the numerous counterfeit copies then you know what to expect: Punk Rock loud, rude and in your face! This reissue includes the 3 songs from that 7" and 7 unreleased songs including a couple covers. This reissue is a long time coming as no one could ever track this band down. Why? Their first and only release was a bit of a red herring as the writer of the songs on the record used the wrong spelling of his name on the release. So for over 15 years the label that released this reissue searched high and low for this band but rarely got close. They even sent out over 100 letters to everyone in the UK with the name as the person on the back of the record and got zero response. Than they placed about 50 ads in papers all around the UK stating that they were looking for the band which got them closer. Out of the blue they got a call from someone who knew them resulting in this reissue. F-X were the real deal…. Punk Rock at it’s best! Sadly, two of the members are no longer with us, so this reissue is for them. This reissue includes a nice booklet with vintage band photos and a history of the band that not surprisingly includes tales of drunk and disorderly misconduct and an incarceration sentencing. Import from the UK.
