Direct Control - S/T 7". This first vinyl release from Direct Control and blazes through six tracks of killer early 80's influenced hardcore. Taking queues from the meaner side of that era (bands like THE FIX, CIA, POISON IDEA, etc), this EP captures the attitude and essence of those classic bands almost perfectly with a combination of biting, sarcastic, and spiteful lyrics overtop a non-stop barrage of fast hardcore insanity. DIRECT CONTROL could probably take a lot of the credit (or blame) for the recent resurgence of no-bs, no-frills fast 80s influenced hardcore and this EP clearly shows why. And absolutely crushing debut.
