Diät- Positive Energy LP ~THE MOB!

Diät- Positive Energy LP.  Brought together by a shared enthusiasm for bleak UK punk and a history of playing in hardcore bands, Berlin based Diät have created a sound that the band describes as 'tough new wave'. Fans of Crisis, Killing Joke and The Mob should be pleased by the band's unlikely synthesis of depressive drift through cranked, accelerated energy. Their debut LP, "Positive Energy" finds Diät reining in the cynicism and dejectedness that binds them as a band. The record bobs and weaves through alot of the things that made the first wave post punk bands so amazing and come out with something pretty unique. Intending to create an album that showcases each song individually and to play out like a mixtape of all different sounds and styles created by Diät, that should give you an of where this record is coming from. The LP includes a nice looking 12 page insert booklet with collages and lyrics. Recommended. German import.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
