Crunky Kids- Hardcore Malarky 7”. I’m assuming that this is an Ohio side project since members play in other bands such as Gordon Solie Motherfuckers, The Inmates, 9 Shocks Terror, and Upstab. I have read that the band has done splits with Brody’s Militia, Chainsaw, Conga Fury, and Zemezluc. They also have been in existence for seven years. These are things I didn’t know. What I do know is what is coming out my speakers: raw, fast hardcore punk rock that easily could have come out somewhere between 1983 and 1984 and a very live-sounding recording that definitely was not recorded in a ProTools studio. The guitars sound spastic, like it was live, due to the gritty and unpolished sound.   This single is driven by pure piss and vinegar. It sports the production values you might expect to find on a garage-punk single, but trades in the twangy guitars and staccato rhythms for distorted lo-end and Poison Idea-style ruckus. Fuck ya!

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
