Crisis Hotlines- Artificial 7".  Austin, Texas has given the world some pretty bad ass music over the years. When a group of those bad asses form a new musical gang things get even more bad ass. The Crisis Hotlines are a prime example of that. With members of Love Collector and the Horribly Wrong (who weren't an Austin based band but a few members moved there) this band sure does know how to whip up a racket. Crisis Hotlines lean up against the same wall that the Dicks and Ramones kicked holes in decades earlier utilizing a similar mid-tempo, punk rock approach that’s dumb, silly and fun. This 7” shreds with four tracks of quick, aggressive, REAL punk rock with an oafish, pissed off screamer and lots of razor blade guitar shreddin’ to hammer home their point. They manage to keep things energetic and interesting without being syrupy and showcase their influences without being overtly nostalgic. Thumbs up. Import from Sweden.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
