Circles- Looking Back LP. The Circles were part of the first wave Mod revival releasing their classic first single back in 1979. When The Circles reformed years ago to play the Mods Mayday gig in 1999, they soon found themselves being asked the same question over and over.... ‘when are you guys going to put out some new material’? Well the answer is right here my friends. The Circles locked themselves into a studio and toiled away for a few months in 2000 and emerged with this absolute beast of an album. It includes 12 tracks of the their signature heart and soul mod in the vein of a few of their contemporareis like The Jam, The Chords and The Small Faces. This album features new songs and re-recordings of a few old favourites that until now were only available on the live ‘Private World’ LP. One thing strikes you as soon as you hear the first few notes of this album - the band hasn’t lost an ounce of their passion and anger in the 30 + years since they began. This album combines the raw energy of the ‘79 Mod Revival that they took part in and adds the maturity that can only come from years of experience. UK import.
