Buried Horses- Tempest LP. I was first intrigued by this album because of the beautiful cover art. It is a painting by Australian artist Anthony Day, who is an old school friend of the band. This is an excellent album, deserving of the superb cover art, and equally as intense and powerful. I read an interview with Jim (the guitarist) who said the sound is a combination of the Drones and Beasts of Bourbon. 'Tempest' seamlessly combines the craft of storytelling with the dark art of noise that also brings to mind the Birthday Party.
