Bobkat ‘65- Gwani 7”.  Bobkat ’65 are a potent reminder that Get Hip Records is a mecca of garage rock in an auto tune threatened world. Hailing from the northern Spanish province of Asturias, Bobkat ‘65 have that magical combination of great hooks, raw production and pure talent. It’s always great to hear new band from the other side of the world do their take on 60’s garage rock and Bobkat ‘65 ‘s is quite a treat. The A-side gives us “Gwani” a rockingly sweet, catchy tune that recalls The Chocolate Watchband and elements of the Indonesian all girl band, Dara Puspita. “Time” on the B side is slightly more introspective with a rolling snare and a firey guitar line that faintly recalls The Animals “House of the Rising Sun”. The vocal on this track are slightly more reflective and really make the B-side shine. An all-around sizzlin’ slab that hopefully means a full length is on the horizon.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
