Vicious Dreams- S/T LP. Punk has always been a welcoming environment for people with no vocal training, but Amanda Little is one of those rare punk singers who can actually sing. She belts it on this record with honesty, sincerity and a bright vocal brevado that you rarely see in the genre. Sure bands like the Avengers and X Ray Spex come to mind, but they don’t really sound like either of those bands. Sitting a little closer to the old East Bay band Tilt, Vicious Dreams take a juiced up punk rock charge and mix a little bit of dark poppiness into their almost hardcore delivery. The songs are generally hooky and well-crafted with Amanda’s powerful voice really making this one stand out A 14 song banger from start to finish that includes a two- sided lyrics sheet insert. Recommended.
