The Sha La La’s- Your Blind Soul 7”.  The Sha La La’s continue to impress as one of the front-runners of the best bands influenced by the Northern Soul, Motown, and Stax/Atlantic back catalogs. Some might label it ‘blue-eyed soul’, but undoubtedly, this is as much influenced by the Small Faces as it is by those old soul artists. Darron Robinson delivers the vocals with both feeling and passion, while Mick Brown’s guitar work gives the tracks the required vibrancy and force without overpowering the songs. Coupled with John Piccirillo’s ‘big’ drum sound and John Lee’s keyboards.  The four of them blend really well together. The lead track, ‘Your Blind Soul’ is a rock solid dancer while ‘Do What You Wanna Do’ forcefully rattles along with both guitar and organ attacking the senses all at the same time. And the best track on the single is ‘Bring It Down On You’ with some impressive sterling wah-wah pedal work by Brown and Robinson again delivering vocals with real purpose. UK import.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
