The Darts- EP2 10".  The second EP by The Darts is a six-song garage-rock party on a 10" platter. None of the members of the Darts are new to the game as they’ve all cut their chops over the years in various garage, punk, and hard rock bands including The Love Me Nots, The Dollyrots, and Brainspoon. They all came together as the Darts mixing elements of garage rock, psych rock and traditional rock ‘n roll amassing a pretty respectable back catalog since their formation. Opening up this 10” is “My Heart Is A Graveyard”, a song The Darts penned with John Carlucci of The Fuzztones and The Speedies. The song is an energetic track that mixes a catchy groove with fuzz laced guitar tones adding Nicole Laurenne’s voice and keys cutting high atop the mix. A winning, full-throttle formula that the Darts utilize on every song on this record. The Darts are on the rise and their music and live show backs that up with their next album coming on Alternative Tentacles. This is a fun listen, recommended.
