The Apers- Skies Are Turning Blue CD.  ‘Skies Are Turning Blue’ is the third and best full length from this pop-punk four piece from the Netherlands. The Apers continue to fine tune their infectious pop punk sound that started to formulate on their stellar debut album released in 2002. ‘Skies Are Turning Blue’ shines with their cretinous pop-punk sound, squeezing the goodness out of the best that Lookout Records has to offer and firing it back in an amped up lighting bolt of harmony, melody and speed. ‘Skies Are Turning Blue’ gushes with over a dozen Ramones-ey boppin poppy punk tunes amped up to confection. There’s definitely some Adolescents at work here as well as this album is overflowing with good riffy guitar work, glorious anthemic vocal harmonies and Kevin Apers signature snotty vocal sneer.
