Small Hours- The Anthology CD.  Small Hours were a band with a mighty fine pedigree. They were formed by ex Saints and Lurkers bassist Kym Bradshaw and also featured Iain Shedden from The Jolt. The band soon found themselves at the forefront of the 1979 Mod Revival scene and their tight Memphis R&B / Stax organ sound really set them apart from the New Wave / Jam sounding contemporaries like The Chords and The Purple Hearts. Along with Dexy’s Midnight Runners (who they were invited to tour with) the Small Hours were the link between the Mod scene and the upcoming rude boy movement that was beginning to explode throughout the UK. The band made their recorded debut on the legendary ‘Mods Mayday ‘79' album along with Secret Affair, Squire & The Merton Parkas; and it was that album that really layed the groundwork for their rabid fan base. This is a nice thorough reissue here with the entire Small Hours back catalog along with a number of demo tracks and a few unreleased recordings. The anthology includes a beefy 12 page booklet with vintage band photos, flyers and thorough liner notes by John Williams.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
