Sewer Rats / Jukebox Romantics- Split 7”.  The Sewer Rats from Cologne are one of Germany’s hardest working punk bands. Their last record, ‘Heartbreaks and Milkshakes’ was absolutely killer and the two songs on this split are just as good. They’ve found their own sound mixing old-schoolish 90s Pop-Punk mixed with a little bit of now delivering slicked-back juvenile sing-a-longs about lost love and moving back in with your parents (again). The Sewer Rats are ready to skate their way into your heart. Backing them are the Jukebox Romantics from NY. Their side delivers two fast and raucous tunes with a ton of melody that reminds me alot of that early Fat Wreck Chords sound of bands like NOFX, Lag Wagon and No Use For A Name.
