Punk Ekman- S/T 7”.  Punk Ekman is a pseudonym for one (or maybe more?) of the Achtungs. I’m not sure if the Achtungs are done (which would be a shame!), but I assume that the existence of this 4-songer can’t be a good sign, because it sounds pretty much exactly like the Achtungs. I absolutely loved all of the Achtungs records, and these four tracks would have fit perfectly on any of them. In case the Achtungs reference means nothing to you, basically Punk Ekman sound like a harder, faster take on the traditional European punk sounds of bands like the Rude Kids or Ivy Green (who Punk Ekman sound quite a bit like, particularly in the vocal department) delivered through the fuzz-drenched production of 90s garage bands like the Teengenerate and the Reatards. It’s a simple formula, that they pull off pretty well here. Import from Sweden.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
