Poker - Boots and Booze 7".  This single flat out rips. Don’t know alot about Poker, but I know they’re a female-fronted punk band from, I believe, around the Rome area. The three songs presented here would have been right at home on a Dangerhouse or What Records 7” thirty-five years ago. There’s some power-pop punch in the melody, but it’s snotty, raw rock’n‘roll to the core, the way it should be. The Alleycats, Vox Pop and The Eyes come to mind and they play it mid tempo and hard with alot of heart and soul. As pissed off as punk rock can be, it should also be fun and an exuberant release of all the crap that’s heaped up during the work week. And Poker totally deliver that in spades. Fun single. Recommended.  Import from Italy.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
