Öil!- Road To Valhalla CD ~EX RANDUMBS, WORKIN’ STIFFS W/ TEMPLARS, HARD SKIN, SWINGIN’ UTTERS GUYS!
Öil!- Road To Valhalla CD. Oil! are a loud, brash, and crude Punk band formed in San Francisco in 2001 by long standing Maximum Rock ‘n Roll contributor Corporal Boots after his former band, the Trust Fund Babies, imploded. Oil! impressively return with an ampep-up new lineup including the frontman of the Workin’ Stiffs and half of The Randumbs commemorating this unique transition with their newly revamped moniker: Öil!. These beer-swillin thugs fire back hard with their first new recordings in over 15 years; and thankfully their sound hasn’t really changed much at all! Like their last two albums, a good portion of these recordings are about the nobility of work, brotherhood unity, and standing on your own two feet all set to a rough ‘n tumble Blitz, Partisans, 4-Skins, Cock Sparrer exterior. ‘Road To Valhalla ‘ delivers their raw, brickwall sound of the early 80’s; fusing a brute combination of sledgehammer Oi, hooligan Pub Rock and first-wave British Street Punk into their own wretched sound. The production on this disc is both huge and brutally raw, delivering a pretty great album that’s anchored by some seriously vicious, guitar work with the same witty, biting lyrics that you’d come to expect from an Oil! release. A surly boot party, beat-down here with guest appearances by Johnny Peebucks of the Swingin’ Utters, Carl Fritscher of the Templars and Johnny Takeaway from Hard Skin. 16 sneering, boots ‘n braces anthems for fans of Iron Cross, Menace, Sham 69, The Business, Cockney Rejects and Slaughter And The Dogs.

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
