John Wesley Coleman/Gary Stewart- Split 7".  John Wesley Coleman III bonds with Gary Stewart, a relatively unknown country blues singer. Gary Stewart had a patchy career that never quite took off. Praised by many of his peers (Dylan included) he struggled to make a name for himself and eventually committed suicide after what seemed like a lifetime of personal tragedy. 'Ramona' featured on his 1988 'comeback' LP 'Brand New' is presented here in all its outlaw/honky-tonk glory. It sounds very much like a lost mid 80's country classic. It's a very clean, well produced and well performed Nashville style piece that does, at times, bring to mind Dire Straits. It's covered under the slightly more ambiguous title of 'Oh Woman' by John Wesley Coleman III with the assistance of Sub Pop stoners Jaill and is dealt with respectfully by the artists whilst adding a lo-fi edge that smudges over the slickness of the original. For those of you into the country music, this will be a pleasant trip.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
