Copyrights / Kepi Ghoulie- Split 7”.  The Copyrights and Kepi Ghoulie both recorded a brand new tune as well as a cover of each others songs for this special split 7”. This is actually the first new music from The Copyrights since their last record 5 years ago. It’s nice to see them recording again and ‘Welcome Wagon’ is a tuff melodic punk rocker heavy on the vocals. They back it up with a cover of the Groovie Ghoulies smash ‘Are You Passionate?’ which blends classic pop-punk riffs with more intricate guitar overdubs and a whole world of gang vocals. On the flip Kepi Ghoulie brings something a little special to the table. His two track were recorded with Kevin Seconds from 7 Seconds who adds instrumentation and backup vocals to both tracks. The new Kepi Ghoulie song ‘Observation Day’ is another heartfelt winner with Kepi’s unique, shining voice continuing to stand out. And he puts his own spin on The Copyrights classic ‘Four Eyes’ which includes Kevin Seconds wife, Allyson Seconds, handling backup vocal duties. Nice thick cardboard 7" jackets on these as well, with cool looking cover art by Stefan Tijs.  Import from the Netherlands.
