This is the debut album of the Zatopeks from London and it’s a catchy mix of 50's poppy rock ‘n roll, 90's Lookout! punk rock and a twist of the bouncy first wave New York Punk of the Ramones. One of the things that sets the Zatopeks apart from other bands doing this sort of thing is front man Will DeNiro’s knack for telling introspective stories with wit and humor. This one reminded me a little of the old Florida band the Crumbs who mix rock ‘n roll and poppy punk and do their own thing with it. Fun disc. Import from The Netherlands.
