V/A- D-Sides LP. This thing took nearly 30 years to release, but it was well worth the wait! All of those tasty little bands that Modern Action Records are know for are all here. Basically this LP compiles 12 of their flagship bands and presents an unearthed and unreleased song from each of them. All of these songs are from vintage demos that the band never released or older unreleased songs compiled from old practice tapes, so you have to hand it to Modern Action for digging these up and making these tunes available. The bands include Modern Action, The Briefs, Amoebas, Smogtown, The Bodies, Sharp Objects, The Stitches, Modern Pets, Ruleta Rusa, Complaints, The Cadavers and the Botox Rats. The LP also comes with a nice beefy 16 page booklet including inserts from each band on the compilation.
