The Jinxes- Mosquitoes 7".  Posthumous 7" from LA's Jinxes, who at one point were going to be the only non-Seattle band on Boom Boom Records (RIP Danny Ferducci), which is quite a ringing endorsement as far as budget rock goes. This self proclaimed worst band in LA contains ex members of The Tee Pees and The Khans. The Jinxes were most active in the early to mid 2000s, sharing the stage with garage punk / surf heavy hitters like The Phantom Surfers, The Trashwomen, The Flakes, Thee Cormans, South Bay Surfers and even played The Mummies last show! They’re everything a budget rock band should be. They’re sloppy and lo-fi, their lyrics are dumb as hell but the songs are just so damn catchy. This totally seems like something that woulda came out on Planet Pimp back in the day.
