Nervous Talk- S/T LP.  Canada has a long history when it comes to poppy punk rock... from Teenage Head and the Pointed Sticks to Bum and Chixdiggit! to Steve Adamyk Band and Needles//Pins; the country has a long lineage of bands that kneel at the altar of the Ramones. And now we can add another winner to that list: Vancouver’s Nervous Talk. It blows my mind that this is the band’s debut full-length as the song writing is so catchy and mature. The 10 songs on this album bring rocking and bouncy ‘77 Punk to the forefront with snide and snotty vox fired with some razor sharp guitar work. It doesn’t sound like it’s deliberately retro, but it does remind me of why '77 punk is pretty much my favorite era/genre of music ever. These songs are just so fucking good! Highly recommended for fans of the aforementioned bands along with the Buzzcocks and The Boys.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
