Miguel De Deus- Black Soul Brothers LP. This is a reissue of the debut Miguel De Deus album that came out in 1977 on Underground Records. Fantastic work from Miguel De Deus here – an artist with more than enough funky talents to live up to the ambitious title of this record. Given that he started his career working in the famous Os Brazoes combo, mixing up a heady brew of funk and psych, his later band Miguel De Deus is certainly an extention of that. By the time of these recordings, Miguel wass fully out on his own, working in an even more soul-drenched style that shares plenty with the New York funk scene of the time – particularly the sharp, tight modes of Fatback Band, and some of the groups recording for De-Lite Records! Lyrics are all in Portuguese, but the grooves are very universal – and the album's got a sort of global funk appeal that you'll only find in a rare few records from the Samba Soul generation of the 70s. Awesome record if you’re a fan of the genre. Import from Portugal on Groovie Records.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
