Kim Gray- Perfume LP.  Kim Gray started out as the side project of Vancouver musician Trevor Gray, who you may know from his other band Skinny Kids. Kim Gray is a softer, more dream pop version of what he was doing with Skinny Kids, and he seems poised to take off with this LP. The title track kicks off the album and brings to mind Burger Records alumni Gap Dream with swirling snyths with an 80’s pop dance club feel. The gears change slightly with the groovy bassline in “Tropical Low Life” and sets the tone for the rest of the album of mellow psych rock with chiming synths, shoegaze dreamyness and Trevor Gray’s twangey reverby guitar. At time the songs sound like a slightly more rock version of what Gap Dream are doing and a couple of the songs sound like the mellower side of Mac Demarco.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
