Hip Priests/Billy Hopeless- Split 7".  First up is Billy Hopeless, formerly of the amazing Black Halos. Billy has been writing some of the best punk songs for 20+ years now! Its wild! When I first threw this on my jaw dropped as it's without a doubt the heaviest shit Billy has ever done. “Gutterball” suggests that the Black Halos frontman never needed punk to develop much beyond the Dead Boys. He makes a convincing argument with his snarling vocals about being “down in the gutter” rip along over Cheetah Chrome–style guitars, climaxing in a near-perfect solo from Black Halos co-founder Rich Jones. On the flip the Hip Priests deliver again. The ‘Priests are an awesome, gloriously tangled mess of souped up and lubed up Rock N Roll. I had high hopes for their side as their last LP was a killer and they definatley don’t disappoint here. "Wired Amped Skulled" is so badass and the recording sounds fucking unbelievable. Fans of Zeke, the Candy Snatchers, Puffball, Turbonegro and the Hookers need to hear this beast. THIS IS THE LIMITED VERSION ON SPLIT BLACK AND  WHITE COLORED WAX!
