With a band named by Fifi of Teengenerate a year before their first official release, you should know you’re in for some good shit here.   The Battlebeats have been on a 5 year speaker shreddin’ tear since their inception playing raw and filthy Rock ‘n Roll that flat-out rips.  Their sound channels the savage blown-out sounds of bands like The Reatards, Teengenerate, The Jet Boys, Bad Times and The Persuaders. Just good savage Punk fused Rock ‘n Roll with fuck-all of a recoding budget, but songs that shine under any circumstance.  And they certainly do here.  ‘First Five Years Of Hell’ compiles all The Battlebeats 7" and EP tracks track released in that epic first five year run including those incredibly hard to find cuts from that long out of print debut CD EP.  That’s 25 crackling cuts of Budget Rock bliss all remastered for this supercharged reissue including one previously unreleased song exclusive to this release.
