THE CAVE WEDDINGS- Last Time 7”. The Cave Weddings are more power pop than bubblegum, and the hooks and song structures really shine through on this one. This single’s definitely dirtier than their predecessors, but it still sounds poppy and shiny. Both songs clock in at under 2 and a half minutes, so they get in and don’t wear out their welcome. Eric LaGrange (Romance Novels, Eric & the Happy Thoughts) has the A-Side wrapped up with his jangly guitar and nasally vocals. Erin Drobin fills out the B-Side nicely with a catchy vocal line and a jumpy clean guitar riff. Definately a winner here. If you haven’t heard any of their other records, this is a good place to start.
