V/A- Vancouver 4 Way 7" ~LADIES NIGHT / VANCOUGAR!
V/A- Vancouver 4 Way 7". Regional comp. here with 4 bands from Vancouver: Ladies Night, Vancougar, The Beladeans and Rasided By Wolves. Ladies Night hit hard on the first side with "Natural Disaster". Fuzzy, low budget recording with fabulously high mixed and echo driven vocals that wreak of Cramps-esque horror-garage and ends as abruptly as it starts. Fuck ya. Vancougar's "Mine First" is just the kind of dirty garage-pop that you’d spin causing all the ladies to flutter. Shangri-la-la-la perfect! The Beladeans' "Seawall" conjures many visions. A rip roaring soul/blues jam that makes me think of Russ Meyer, the Real Kids, Flamin' Groovies and old school gambling rooms way in the back. Finally, Raised By Wolves' "Trouble" sounds like a bunch of speed-laden Japanese kids trying to recreate "Summertime Blues" and succeeding. With ludes. And lots of sunglasses. Cool new comp. to check in on the current garage scene in Vancouver. Import from Canada.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!
Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
