Bad Sports made a smart sequencing decision by opening ‘Kings Of The Weekend’ with “Off Switch.” That total punk rock burner has a lot of guitar noise, just ripping the riff apart in 1:47 and sets the tone for this monster of a record. That rapid fire guitar banger gets you amped right outta the gate and they back it up with another 13 heavy hitters that range from upbeat, bouncy Ramones punk jams to 60s-influenced garage rock tunes complemented by tight song writing structures and impeccable playing. They mix things up with “Teenage Girls” that shines with 60s sounding gang harmonies and “Inside Out” which has a touch of bubblegum to it that helps to balance out the more rapid fire chuggers that dominate this awesome record. 14 stingers in all recorded by Mark Ryan of Marked Men / Mind Spiders fame who really helps to capture the band's sound perfectly.
