Piss ‘N Blood- F.T.W. CD.  Piss N' Blood has brought punk back to where it is supposed to be: ugly, angry, and real. These four steady rockers from Orange County, CA must have been baptized in unholy water blessed by the notorious Johnny Rotten himself. If the U.S. had created the Pistols first, it would have sounded like this with songs that are so anthemic, scathing and socially-critical. Everything this band does is truly catchy and real. Lead guitarist Mosavian puts the crunchy chords exactly where they needed to go and the riffs are so strong they would make Steve Jones proud. Hell I think I heard a little Gregg Ginn (Black Flag, Gone, HOR, etc.) in the leads as well. And their singer, Ron Anger, reminds me alot of Billy Bones in that he spews the lyrics so spastically, vitriolic and in your face. But don’ t get the impression that Piss N' Blood are some copycat band. No, far from it. Their influences are strong and distinct, but Piss ‘N Blood still give everything their own charged old-school sneer with their feet firmly planted in the present.
