Luke Warm- Jesus Chrysler + Other Original Recordings 1980- ‘81 LP ~REISSUE!
Luke Warm- Jesus Chrysler + Other Original Recordings 1980- ‘81 LP. In 1980, Detroit's Luke Mucus & The Phlegm morphed into the more accessible Luke Warm. Catching the new wave/power pop bug, Luke Warm discovered their strength as songwriters, and grew from delivering raw, entertaining Punk Rock absurdities, to their quirky-yet-catchy, polished gems. Notoriety came when Luke Warm’s “Jesus Chrysler” single, a poke-in-the-eye to the failing auto giant, was released b/w “Why Don’t You Like Me?” a thinly veiled answer song to The Romantics classic “What I Like About You”. With Rock Radio playing bands like The Knack and The Romantics (also from Detroit), there was optimism throughout The Motor City that a number of bands might bust out of The Rust Belt and Luke Warm were one of those bands. With continues gigging, radio airplay, interviews and a Detroit Free Press article, Luke Warm had the motivation and songs, but fate had a different plan. After a few years of playing hard and not getting the attention that they deserved, fate smiled on their burgeoning talents and the band called it a day! This reissue collects that highly sought after debut single and everything else that the band recorded in Detroit, MI from 1980-1981. Import from Italy.

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
