Cold Callers- Dressed To Die LP. The second album by London's the Cold Callers splendidly strattles the line between first-wave, U.K. snot-punk and dancey 80's new wave. On lead vocals is Marco AKA Terminal Gagger of The Gaggers, Miscalculations, Disco Lepers and the Botox Rat; and their second album doesn’t disappoint. The new album strays away from the more straight up power pop of their debut album and leans more in the direction of Marcos more Punk Rock bands which is where Terminal Gagger has always excelled. ‘Dressed To Die’ sounds like the middle ground between The Gaggers, Disco Lepers and Miscalculations with slight new wave and post-punk influences. It's as if Marco took everything that was good about all of his other bands and combined them all into one awesomely cohesive record. If the Gaggers ever released a third album songs like "Remember My Name" and “Wait Your Turn” definitely woulda made the cut. “Dressed To Die “ is a pop record, a punk record, and a new wave record all at the same time and it’s the strongest record that Marco’s recorded in quite some time. 12 killer cuts and the LP includes a two sided printed insert with cool looking cover art to match. Recommended. Import from the UK.
