Autistic Youth- Idle Minds LP.  An absolute treasure! I've really been digging this band for the last couple of years since they do the moody punk thing so well without trying to copy the Wipers (like so many others can't seem to help but do). Autistic Youth are a bit faster and snottier than some of the other Northwest bands, yet they toss infectious melodies into the mix that makes their songs so listenable and memorable. No Hope For The Kids comes to mind as having a similar type of approach. 'Idle Minds' finds the band perfecting melody but still retaining a punk attitude and the lyrics are pretty cool. There's a bit of an early Dag Nasty sound at times, and at others the catchiness of a band like the Observers. Good record. Ex members of Defect Defect and The Diskords.  Import from Germany.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
