Despite their misleading moniker, this decidedly punk four-piece have been busy crafting some of the catchiest singles coming out of Canada in years. They followed up a series of singles with their ‘S/T’ debut album which Ben Weasel heralded as album of the year and now they’re back to keep the fun going on their second album ‘Forever Won’t Wait’. The Steve Adamyk Band plays brash poppy-punk inspired by seventies punk, the skinny tie bands of the eighties and mid 90’s pop punk sounding like a warped combination of the Ramones, the Buzzckcocks, the Cars, Screeching Weasel and the Boys. 11 brand new pogo poppunk bubblegum grenades here and this is the most exuberant, fun-filled collection of songs I've heard in quite some time coming from the ashes of Million Dollar Marxists (Gearhead Records) and the Sedatives (Deranged Records).
